When we walked in here for dinner we didn't know what to expect. But when we entered it was wall to wall white people. That usually means the food is not very authentic. But i stayed optimistic.
We were greeted by a friendly waitress who directed us towards a booth. The booth looked clean but she ran a damp rag over the table anyway. This was good; I'm a clean freak. I did notice some food on the floor of the booth that should probably be swept up after each diner, but not a big deal.
The decor was a little old and damaged. For instance, the popcorn ceiling was discolored, stained and even had holes that were chipping. The first thing I think of is, "its going to chip more and those chips are going to land in someone's food". The paint was chipped in our booth. But who cares as long as the food is good.
First we got our chips and salsa. They were really good. After taking our order, the waitress asked if we wanted to try some of there more spicy salsa's. Now I'm happy cause maybe it's authentic after all. We also ordered some mini taquitos for an appetizer. They weren't bad.
Then the food comes out. I order a taco, enchilada and tamale. Unfortunately the food was about as bland as I first thought it might be. My wife agreed. The sauces they put on top of the tamale and enchilada were good, thank God. Otherwise there wouldn't have been much flavor.
It wasn't terrible though. I will come back in the future. It wasn't bad tasting, just not much taste. The food came out quickly. The prices were reasonable. The portions were good and its not far from my house, so why not? -

I went there for lunch. It's a pleasant enough place. Service is a bit slow due to their being only one waitress. I had a combo with relleno and hard shell beef taco.
Chips and salsa came first. The chips were not the best. Salsa was ok.
When my lunch arrived, I was immediately impressed by the amount of food. Unfortunately, I am one who prefers quality over quantity. Nothing was bad but nothing stood out. Considering the number of places we have to get this kind of food, I see no reason to return to this place. -

Lets start by saying the food was Great!! I wanted to give it such a better review but my service this day was not that great! I had to keep calling for the waitress and I had to wait a while for a refill for water. My wife is pregnant so she doesn't drink soda, but she was about to lose it because she was dying of thirst lol! Anyhow we got albondigas soup and I got the menudo. Everything was so tasty and authentic, we really enjoyed ourselves this day! Again, The food was great!! The crowd was nice, two men inside causing a ruckus as they were drunk lol, but over all a great experience! We will be back!!
